Uplift day

Mt Buller Maximum Gravity

Laps while the uplift is actually running.

Maximum Gravity was the 2018 name for a shuttle-heavy Buller day. The mountain still offers that shape. The name on the ticket is now whatever Alpine Resorts Victoria is printing this summer.

Uplift, in the resort’s words

From mtbuller.com.au:

  • Northside Express quad chair — about 7 minutes, 1270 m, published hours 10:00–4:00 on operating days, linking Horse Hill car park, Chalet Creek midload and Spurs
  • Gravity shuttle — continuous loops 10 am–4 pm on operating days, Lower Tyrol Carpark to Copperhead, ABOM, Outlaw Express and International
  • Load the uplift ticket or season pass to a B-Tag and scan
  • A season pass is described for riders planning more than six days
  • Sightseeing tickets exist if someone in the van does not want a bike

None of that is a promise that the lift is open this Thursday. Read the calendar. The October 2026 report we checked had trails closed.

A Maximum Gravity day

  1. Confirm operating status the night before
  2. Bring a full-face if you intend to use the gravity list
  3. Start on Copperhead or ABOM, not International
  4. Keep one run in reserve for the last chair — alpine weather moves

Pair with the downhill page and the weekender. Enquire if you want the logistics held for a group.
