/mount-buller-downhill is a retired product slug. It now explains the gravity half of the same mountain.
Mt Buller lists these gravity trails on the public report (lengths are the resort’s):
- Copperhead (Gravity) — intermediate, 2.5 km — described on the bike page as Australia’s first flow trail
- ABOM (Gravity) — intermediate, 2.2 km
- Outlaw (Gravity) — intermediate, 2 km
- International (Gravity) — advanced, 2 km
Uplift, on published summer days, is either the Northside Express chairlift (Horse Hill, Chalet Creek midload, Spurs) or the gravity shuttle from Lower Tyrol Carpark to the top of Copperhead, ABOM, Outlaw Express and International. Hours on the 2026 page: 10 am–4 pm. Season opening dates change; the resort published a 5 December 2026 chairlift note in the copy we read. Confirm the live calendar.
How this differs from the weekender
The weekender is a mixed XC trip. This page is for riders who already know they want laps. You still need a trail-ready mountain bike with front and rear suspension — that recommendation is the resort’s, not ours. Full-face helmet and pads are strongly recommended on gravity trails.
Rules that belong to the mountain
- Helmets to Australian safety standard on all trails
- Pedal-assist e-bikes only, EN15194 or ≤250 W, no throttle
- First aid during uplift operations; 000 off the front face
- Do not treat a closed October report as a secret open day
Continue to Maximum Gravity for the uplift-day shape, or Mount Buller for the hub.
