/mount-buller is older than the weekender. In 2016–2017 it was a single product page. This rebuild keeps the path as the region hub so every later slug — downhill, XC, Epic, Maximum Gravity, the copy-of-mount-buller duplicate — has a parent that still 200s.
Mt Buller is an Alpine Resorts Victoria mountain about three hours from Melbourne. The official summer bike page is the source for the figures below.
Official network facts
- More than 100 km of trails
- Gravity lines including Copperhead (described on the resort site as Australia’s first flow trail), International, Outlaw / Outlaw Express and ABOM
- Cross-country and wilderness riding including the 46 km Australian Alpine Epic (advanced, listed as the Southern Hemisphere’s first IMBA Epic) and the 12 km Delatite River Trail
- Stonefly, 10 km, advanced
- Family, Picnic, One Tree Hill and Soul Revival listed as beginner trails on the live report table
- Intermediate named trails that also appeared on the 2019 tour page: Clancy’s Run, Misty Twist, Medusa, Gang Gangs, Woolybutt
- Gravity uplift via the Northside Express chairlift and a gravity shuttle, on published summer operating days
- A separate Mirimbah Shuttle connecting the village and the base of the mountain — the resort states this ticket is not included in standard MTB uplift tickets
- About 10 km of new trails planned on the 2026 resort copy
- Pedal-assist e-bikes that meet EN15194 or have a motor of no more than 250 watts are permitted; throttle bikes are not
The October 2026 trail report listed the bike network closed ahead of the summer calendar. That is normal. Do not travel on a winter-shoulder assumption.

Safety language we will repeat
The resort’s own fine print is clearer than anything we could invent: unmarked obstacles, steep drops, loose surfaces; full-face and pads recommended on gravity trails; alpine weather can freeze in summer; avoid Extreme or Code Red fire days (CFA North East district); emergencies on XC or wilderness trails go to 000 with the nearest marker, or Resort Management 03 5777 6077 in published hours.
First aid staff are described as available during gravity uplift operations. That is not the same as coverage on the Epic.
