/north-east-weekender sat beside the five-day Wild Week as the people-who-still-have-jobs option. Three days is enough for Beechworth granite and a Mystic weekend if you do not also chase Falls Creek’s snow window.

Friday — drive from Melbourne, skills-zone and green loop at Beechworth. Victoria’s High Country lists the park year-round.
Saturday — Mystic Bike Park. Start where Elevation tells first-timers to start. Add Rollercoaster or a blue flow trail only after the greens are clean. Shuttles are an operator product with their own hours.
Sunday — a second Mystic morning or a Big Hill sampler in Mount Beauty on the way home if legs and daylight agree.
Falls Creek is usually the wrong add-on for a three-day trip unless you already live in the valley and the park is confirmed open. Save it for the Wild Week.
