The seven-day page was the Wix flagship: combine the Buller weekender and the North East Wild Week, add the breweries, call it the Ultimate. The later WordPress article at /the-ultimate-bike-beers-road-trip/ and the retired /northeast-8day product both 301 here so the inbound equity sits on one clean URL.
Seven days that respect seasons
Alpine parks are not a single switch. Mt Buller and Falls Creek publish summer windows (the High Country listing says roughly November–April for both). Mystic and Beechworth are listed year-round. A July “ultimate” that assumes Flowtown is open is a fiction. A November trip that checks both trail reports is the version we will talk about.
A defensible order:
- Melbourne to Mt Buller — village trails, one gravity afternoon if uplift is running
- A longer Buller day — DRT or Stonefly, Epic only if the group is actually ready
- Transfer to Bright
- Mystic
- Beechworth
- Mount Beauty / Big Hill
- Falls Creek if the park is in season, then a long drive home — or reverse the alpine end so the last night is closer to Melbourne
That is a lot of dirt. It is also a lot of driving if you improvise. The value of a desk holding the shape is not a secret trail. It is not doing the Bright–Falls–Buller triangle twice.
Bike and beers, carefully
The archive’s social half named Bright Brewery, Bridge Road Brewers and Sweetwater. Eat and drink as a guest of those businesses. Ride in the morning. Do not treat a tasting flight as recovery science. We are not a liquor licensee and we are not their media kit.
What we will not reprint
The 2019 from-price of $2999 pp, the six nights of unnamed lodging, or a claim that this is the best cycling holiday in Australia. Enquire with month, rider count and whether Falls Creek is a requirement or a bonus.
